Golf Simulator Room Planner

Sketch a golf simulator bay from your room measurements and identify the swing, screen, and tracking clearances to verify.

Room measurements

Enter clear inside dimensions in feet. Measure height from the finished hitting surface to the lowest obstruction.

    What the sketch assumes

The illustration reserves 1.5 ft behind the screen and puts the ball on the centerline. The screen-to-ball examples are 9 ft for full swings, 8 ft for driving range, and 6 ft for general practice. General practice represents a shorter layout to investigate. Confirm the required distances for your actual screen, monitor and shot type.

Width prompts below 13, 12, and 11 ft respectively flag early checks, with 2 ft added to the prompt for both hands. Height prompts occur below 10 ft for full swings and 9 ft for the other examples. These illustrative thresholds only trigger reminders. Swing clearance and equipment compatibility require measurements and model instructions.

    Measurements to take next

    • Lowest beam, light, rail or mount across the entire swing path, measured from the mat.
    • Clearance around the tallest player and longest club for each handedness.
    • Screen frame dimensions, screen deflection gap, side protection and rear access.
    • Monitor footprint, measured distances and hitting zone for the exact model.
    • Projector lens position and path to the usable screen area, plus electrical and cable routing.

Take these dimensions into the room dimensions guide and check the tracking layouts before ordering equipment.
